2000 Raid The North, Algonquin Park

I have done my first adventure race on the weekend of September 23-24, 2000. My teammates were Renata Osika, Tudor Dima, Eric Martinat, and support crew was Dan Colquhoun. It was a non-stop 36-hour race with disciplines of canoeing, mountain biking, and trekking.

Our passport. The race began at 5:00 on Saturday, and it was over for us around 17:15 on Sunday. From talking to others, we figured we needed another 2 hours to get thru the last 3 checkpoints and hit the finish line. Of the 50 teams which began, only 10 finished.
